The technology and products the company delivers makes data management easy. The solutions includes hardware, software and services for data management in an open network environment. The EMEA head office is based in the direct surroundings of Amsterdam and houses aprox. 250 enthusiastic colleagues.

Functie omschrijving

The Business Systems Analysts works as part of a team that supports and enhances business processes and systems. You will utilize your strong technical competencies and functional business expertise to identify, evaluate and develop systems and procedures that meet business user requirements. To do this successfully you will work closely with cross-function teams to understand business needs, and IT development to provide automated solutions. An ability to understand business process issues and communicate technical solutions to the internal client is essential to your success in this role. Project management skills and a customer service orientation is key. As an entry-level professional, you will build skills and experience as a participating team member, while contributing directly to successful project outcomes. Business Systems Analysts focus primary on individual business processes and systems throughout the Manufacturing function, however, they also may work with Sales, Finance, Marketing and other functional areas as well. Specific areas of responsibility of the Business Systems Analysts teams include:

Business Functional Knowledge:
- Collaborate with business users to define processes that meet business needs.
- Ensure processes are scalable and flexible to meet future business need.
- Design processes that can be implemented with minimal disruption to supporting systems, and that are cost effective.
- Anticipate the needs of stakeholders affected by process change.
- Ensure that proposed changes represent the best overall fit for the organization.

Business Requirements Definition and Technical Team Coordination:
- Develop and define IT requirements to support process and system changes.
- Co-lead design sessions to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Create detailed functional design documents for conversions, interfaces, and reports.
- Coordinate with IT development teams to manage the development process and resolve issues.
- Prepare and execute testing plans to ensure high quality results.

Support and Technical Sustaining Operations:
- Monitor implemented systems and processes to ensure high performance.
- Manage support requests to ensure timely and thorough resolution of issues.
- Engage with vendor service support groups to bring resolution to system performance or other processing issues.
- Serve as a resource to superusers for education on technical system functionality.

Project Management:
- Develop implementation and project plans.
- Monitor and drive resolution of issues.
- Document and communicate status updates to team members and Management.
- Estimate resource requirement and determine IT impacted groups.

Functie eisen

• 10+ years IT industry experience in technical positions where requirements gathering and solution consultation are central to the role.
• 5+ years experience in the sales organization of an IT infrastructure vendor as a systems engineer / consultant or similar role. Ability to develop and document compelling value propositions and present those to groups of customers.
• Experience with building data centers.
• Enterprise storage and server industry experience is a must.
• Depth in Linux, Unix, and networking is preferred.
• Experience and in-depth understanding of Virtualization technologies. (Microsoft, Citrix, Microsoft)
• Experience and understanding of Microsoft software suite (Exchange, SQL, Sharepoint)
• High Performance Compute experience is highly desired
• Have a good sense of humor, better yet, a great one
• Understanding of technical applications in the EDA industry.
• Experience managing technical professionals (mix of direct and virtual leadership is preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to personally create team plans, estimate/manage work loads and timelines, track details and drive work to completion in a timely manner.
• Successful experience in building long term personal relationships with senior level enterprise customers.
• Travel: At least 50% regional and international travel
• BS degree in Computer Science at minimum and MS/MBA highly desired
